New York, NY – From May 8-10, 2015, Swiftly Tilting Theatre Project, Inc. presents RADIANCE, THE PASSION OF MARIE CURIE, the ardent struggle between knowledge and love, by award-winning actor and playwright, Alan Alda.

Marie Curie, on the precipice of discovering two new elements and awarded the Nobel Prize embraces her passion for learning while fighting against the domestic expectations of the patriarchal society in turn-of-the-century Paris. Marie strives to find balance between her need to be an intellectual and the need to be a woman. Alan Alda (Scientific American Frontiers, M*A*S*H) transforms actual letters, journals, and newspaper articles into an impressionistic drama that allows both characters and actors to radiate their best qualities to an audience.
